Au Sable Forks has been awarded $315,00 through the New York Main Street (NYMS) Program administered by North Country Rural Development. Property owners, business owners, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for funds for interior and exterior building improvements, site upgrades and enhancements, and changes or upgrades to businesses. Projects must be located within the designated NYMS target area and be a transformative improvement to the downtown area. This is a competitive grant program and the purpose of this application is to collect the information necessary to determine whether a proposed project: (1) has the potential to be transformative,(2) can meet minimum state and local program requirements, and(3) scores high enough compared to other proposed projects to be awarded funding. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide accurate and complete information with this application. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all funds have been committed.
