Jay, NY — September 11, 2024 — The Essex County Land Bank is proud to announce the successful completion of our first rehabilitated home in Upper Jay. The project includes the provision and installation of a 1500 square feet, 3-bedroom/2-bathroom, one-story ADA compliant modular home. A former graduate fellow will help research Tidonderoga's oldest industry, a 1756 sawmill Fort Ticonderoga has embarked on a new partnership with PRIDE of Ticonderoga and the Town of Ticonderoga to research and document the military sawmill near the falls of the LaChute River that operated under the direction of Fort Ticonderog's garrison commanders. TICONDEROGA | The Town of Ticonderoga took a more proactive approach to economic development during its January meeting, forming an economic development committee and making plans to apply for a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant.
