Grant Administrator (2 positions)

North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC), Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance, and the Essex County Land Bank are seeking two dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Grant Administrators.

This position plays a pivotal role in our Coalition’s mission to empower our community through grants and multifaceted economic development programs.

NRDC is currently administering $15 million in state and federal grants, including the recently awarded Ticonderoga Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program. The Essex County Land Bank is developing 21 new housing units county-wide with $3 million in capital funding. We anticipate an additional $7 million in funding for NRDC for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. Our Grant Administrators will work closely with the Coalition’s President/CEO and Grant Programs Managers to increase grant administration, project delivery, and local economic development.

Position Details:

  • Positions Available: 2 (One for Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance and One for North Country Rural Development Coalition)

    • One position will focus on commercial and business development grants, and the other on Land Bank programs.

  • Type: Full-Time

  • Annual Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000, with a planned promotion to Grant Programs Manager after a satisfactory mid-year review, which will also result in a raise.

  • Family-Friendly Flexible Schedule: This position is not remote. Applicants are expected to report to the office five days a week for 40 hours a week, with a flexible start and end time to prioritize a healthy work-life balance and important family and/or school commitments.

  • Benefits:

    • 3 weeks of vacation and personal time annually, plus one week of sick time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration and coordination of grants with the Grant Program Manager.

  • Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements.

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with the President and CEO to align grant programs with community needs and goals.

  • Report to the President and CEO to secure environmental reviews, manage pergola awards, and ensure proper fiscal management and internal controls.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • While prior experience in grant administration, project management, or a related field is advantageous, we are committed to training the right candidate who exhibits the core qualities of punctuality, positivity, organizational prowess, and excellent time management. Experience with construction and/or business development is preferred.
